We currently operate classroom-based programs in Columbus/Dublin, Lancaster, and Sandusky Ohio. We also operate home-based programs throughout the state. Haugland accepts students from preschool through twelfth grade (including those with behaviors of concern) and is therefore an excellent alternative to public school.
Additionally, we offer a range of other services, including speech therapy, home respite, ABA behavioral consulting, mental health services such as counseling and supportive treatment, and psychological services through our sister companies.
All students with an Autism, Asperger's, or PDD-NOS diagnosis are eligible to receive the Autism Scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education, which can be used to pay for educational services at Haugland. Students with other disabilities may qualify for the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship, which can also be used to pay for services at Haugland.
Additionally, students with any learning disability are eligible for placement at Haugland by their home school district via direct contract. We also accept Medicaid waivers, private insurance, and most other forms of payment. In many cases, services can be paid for entirely with these funding sources.
We provide an environment that promotes academic, social and emotional growth for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We achieve success by using effective instructional methods based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
They began by providing Autism Services to seven clients in small office on Olentangy River Road in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2004, over one thousand children and young adults have benefited from the educational and mental health programs offered within the Haugland family of companies, which are headquartered at 3400 Snouffer Road, Columbus, Ohio.
Programs have been housed in various buildings throughout Ohio as we’ve continued to grow over the years. Currently, classroom-based campuses are maintained at New Market Center Way in Columbus as well as in Lancaster, and Sandusky Ohio.
